“The construction phase of a project, now that’s the wonderful phase. The phase of its completion is less interesting.”
- Jean Dubuffet
Construction is the great phase. Dreaming up enormous, completely unrealistic ideas is fabulous. If only I have half the skill required for the various projects I have dreamed up. Not only the skill but the time, organizational skills and money needed to complete these dreamed projects. One day…

This mug found at Target does nothing for me. I know this type of handle is very common but it does nothing for me. Where’s the inspiration? What do you think?
OK Eric and I have an on-going “discussion”, a passionate discussion about my mug handles.
On a mug I like a big handle, but after really thinking about mugs for a week I realized I rarely hold mugs by their handle but rather by their bottom. What about you? What do you look for in a favorite mug? Or plate or bowl. I personally like a bowl that I can easily hold in my palm. Ideally something that nicely holds two scoops of ice cream!
Leading ceramic artist Larry Halvorsen recently looked at my mugs and sided with Eric about the mug handles, darn. What do you think?

I just stumbled across this artist’s work on the Plate a Day website. Holy-molly is this stuff a cool texture-o-rama? I just find her work to be stunning. Very textural. I love it. I love how the light interacts with these pieces.

This is nifty textural work from Sora Hikari, great theme based work. Some of my favorite items. I can feel the touch just through the pictures.

Hey you now can find us in California. The super creative folks and Del the owner are now carrying our monster ceramics at their store in Burbank, California. They have the initial shipment of items but a much larger ship is on it’s way this September. Yep we’re backed up on production, we’re working very hard to get through it. We’re thrilled and sad that we have so much more to get out the door.
