Looking for Inspiration in Nature. I think the ceramic rock-stars Diana Fayt and Ayumi Hori do a great job and probably do get inspiration from nature.
Take a look at these natural suckers….don’t drool. They got ceramics going on.

I’m so excited!!! We’re off to the 64th annual Bellevue Arts Museum artsfair. My first time ever!! This Friday-Sunday, July 23-25. I would love to have you stop by and say hello. We’re in outside at booth S-24 – it will be the most exciting and fancy ceramics booth there. Think dancing bears and hula-hoops. Please mention that you got this message from us it would make me feel that it’s not just my family reading this.
There are a lot of really incredibly accomplished craftspeople/artists at the show and I feel really lucky to be a part of this. I think one of my most favorite things ever about making ceramics, besides the actual making and dreaming of making, is participating in these shows. Though shy, I love talking about the things I make and my process. I enjoy meeting other artists and people interested in my work The feedback is always really nifty. It’s a great time at these shows. Well I think this is enough for now, I need to get back to work.
Good thing I’m so excited that I can hardly sleep because I really do have a tonne of work to do. Hope to see you at Bellevue.
Here’s a great blog that I enjoy following

Nagware was highlighted on the website. A diabetic coworker suggested I do something to this affect but I never did.
“These plates by Rui Pereira and Hafsteinn Juliusson, a pair of Icelandic designers, are decorated with recommended serving portions. Designed in 3 styles, the Super Size, The Extra Ordinary, and The Diet. These plates take the hard work out of portioning your meals for proper eating.”
They also look pretty pretty.
Another idea that I’ve been toying with including recipes with my pieces. Another idea that I should act on but haven’t..yet…
